MISSION:
To Bring Royalties, Music Publishing, and Recording Monies into the Hands
of Louisiana Musicians, Composers, Songwriters, Music Producers and Recorders
by reserving a percentage of the airwaves in Louisiana for Louisiana
Content.
MEANS:
Since all American airwaves are under Federal jurisdiction, Federal legislation
needs to be enacted to require that a percentage of the airwaves in each
of the United States be reserved for music produced, written, and/recorded
in that state.
MODEL:
The Canadian Content laws. Canada has nurtured its musicians, composers,
producers, and performers for years by this simple mandate - 35% of Canadas
airplay is reserved for music that has an identifiable Canadian
Content. Plus 6% of their radio station profits are plowed back
into institutions that develop their artists. For the official Canadian
government website covering all aspects of this issue copy and paste this

Every day somebody somewhere is profiting from the music that is
being played to you from the radio.
Why cant the profit be more for our own people here in Louisiana?
Radio airplay is the most effective way to sell music products. If our
musicians, composers, and producers can gain a fair share of the airplay,
they will gain a fair share of the royalty money that flows from airplay
and sales.
These profits are going somewhere else right now. If they are brought
to Louisiana, the lives of all the members of our music community would
be improved, and would create a flow of environmentally friendly dollars
into the economy of Louisiana.
